Job Title: Senior Revenue & GL Accountant (SaaS)

Job Summary:
The Senior Revenue & GL Accountant will be responsible for managing revenue recognition processes, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SaaS revenue recognition principles (ASC 606) and a proven track record in financial analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the revenue recognition process, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and company policies.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze financial data and provide insights for business decisions.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of accounting operations.
• Stay current on industry trends and changes in accounting standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a revenue recognition role within the SaaS industry.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and general accounting principles.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
