Job Title: Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary:
As a Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive care to patients with neurological disorders. You will work closely with our neurosurgeons and multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and manage patients pre-operatively, post-operatively, and throughout their treatment journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of neurosurgery patients.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Perform pre-operative and post-operative care, including patient education and symptom management.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging studies and lab work.
- Assist in surgical procedures and provide intraoperative support.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Provide compassionate support and education to patients and their families regarding neurological conditions and treatment options.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current Texas Nurse Practitioner license and board certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
- 2+ years experience in neurosurgery or related specialty preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
