Job Title: Lead Construction Litigation Attorney

As the Lead Construction Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for handling complex construction-related disputes from inception through resolution, including trial work. You will manage cases involving construction defects, breach of contract, project delays, and other related matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation and an in-depth understanding of construction law, with a proven track record of managing high-stakes cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in complex construction litigation matters, including pre-litigation negotiations, depositions, motions, and trials.
- Lead the strategic direction of construction-related disputes, providing guidance to clients and junior attorneys.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements.
- Manage a team of legal professionals, ensuring effective case management and execution.
- Maintain client relationships and act as the primary point of contact for construction litigation cases.
- Stay current on developments in construction law and related legal issues.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the Texas Bar.
- 7+ years of experience in construction litigation or a related field.
- Strong trial experience, including handling construction cases in both state and federal courts.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and legal research skills.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team of attorneys and legal professionals.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
